Properties Generator v 2.0.3

The NATSPEC BIM Properties Generator was updated to v 2.0.3 in December 2024 to include the following minor updates:
-    Updated the NATSPEC classifications to version 2024-10-01.
-    Updated the Uniclass EF Elements/functions classifications to v1.15.
-    Updated the Uniclass Pr Products classifications to v1.36.
-    Updated the Uniclass Ss Systems classifications to v1.36.

The NATSPEC BIM Properties Generator was updated to v 2.0.2 in December 2023 to include the following minor updates:
-    Updated the NATSPEC classifications to version 2023-10-01.
-    Updated the Uniclass EF Elements/functions classifications to v1.14.
-    Updated the Uniclass Pr Products classifications to v1.32.
-    Updated the Uniclass Ss Systems classifications to v1.32.

Properties Generator v 2.0.1

The NATSPEC BIM Properties Generator was updated to v 2.0.1 in June 2023 to include the following minor updates:
-    Added the ability to use the search bar to search for objects by their IfcElementType designation.
-    Updated the NATSPEC classifications to version 2023-04-01.

-    Updated the Uniclass EF Elements/functions classifications to v1.13.
-    Updated the Uniclass Pr Products classifications to v1.30.
-    Updated the Uniclass Ss Systems classifications to v1.30.
-    Updated the IFC4 properties included from IFC4 ADD2 (4.0.2.0) to IFC4 ADD2 TC1 (4.0.2.1).
-    Minor editorial/visual updates.
-    In the excel export the source identifier for each IFC property set has been removed to allow for easier use of the exported information. For example the export previously would have included Pset_BeamCommon (IFC4 ADD 2) in the source column, but it now simply includes Pset_BeamCommon.

Properties Generator v 2.0

The NATSPEC BIM Properties Generator underwent a major upgrade in December 2022 to include additional content and improve functionality.
Changes include:
-    Over 400 mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and fire services objects, including their properties and classifications added to the existing architectural and structural objects.
-    Further classification systems added, including Australian Health Facilities Guidelines (AusHFG) and International Cost Management Standard (ICMS) codes.
-    Masterformat classification deleted.
-    All classification system codes updated to those of the edition available at the time the Properties Generator v 2.0 was released in December 2022.
-    All properties have been recategorized to broadly align with the property categories defined by the Swedish CoClass classification system.
-    Properties for multiple objects can now be selected for download at one time.
-    Where predefined values for a property are available, they can be selected from a drop-down list.
-    If values have not been predefined for a property, a field is provided for entering the value required.
-    The last two items enable customized object property values to be created to assist standardization across an organization or project.
-    The relevant units, if applicable, are now displayed after the value field.
-    Additional Source selections 'OBOS mandatory' and 'OBOS optional' have been provided to quickly select the properties required for compliance with the Open BIM Object Standard (OBOS).

Properties Generator v 1.1

The NATSPEC BIM Properties Generator was updated in October 2018, May 2019 and October 2019 with minor updates. The minor updates included in this V1.1 are listed below:

- The value for the property of ‘NATSPECVersion’ in the Excel export was updated to ‘Oct-18’ from ‘Apr-18’, again to 'Apr-19' from 'Oct-18' and again to 'Oct-19' from 'Apr 19' for all objects and all NATSPEC worksections/classifications.

- The value for the property of ‘Uniclass2015ElementsVersion’ in the Excel export was updated to ‘1.3’ from ‘1.2’, again to '1.5' from '1.3' and again to '1.6' from '1.5' for all objects and all Uniclass Elements classifications.

- The value for the property of ‘Uniclass2015SystemsVersion’ in the Excel export was updated to ‘1.11’ from ‘1.9’, again to '1.14' from '1.11' and again to '1.15' from '1.14' for all objects and all Uniclass Systems classifications.

- The value for the property of ‘Uniclass2015ProductsVersion’ in the Excel export was updated to ‘1.11’ from ‘1.9’, again to '1.14' from '1.11' and again to '1.15' from '1.14' for all objects and all Uniclass Products classifications.

- The value for the property of ‘MasterformatVersion’ in the Excel export has been updated to ‘2018’ from ‘2016’ for all objects and all Masterformat classifications.

- All objects that previously had the Uniclass Elements classifications of 'EF_20_20 : Beams' and 'EF_20_30 : Columns' updated to 'EF_20_10 : Superstructure'.

- The Masterformat classification of  '12 64 16 : Tables' was added to the 'Table' object.

- The objects of ‘Flat skylight’ and ‘Sloped skylight’ include the revised Uniclass Systems classification of ‘Ss_30_30_72: Rooflight and roof window systems’, previously titled ‘Ss_30_30_72: Rooflight and window systems’.

- The descriptions for the properties of 'ModelLabel' and 'ModelReference' have been updated to reflect the descriptions included in the IFC schemas (i.e. Different property descriptions now given for IFC4 and IFC 2x3).

- The properties of ‘Manufacturer’, ‘SerialNumber’ and ‘BarCode’ now also assigned to the COBie property source.

- The objects of ‘Beam’, ‘Joist’, ‘Lintel’, ‘Spandrel’, ‘T or L Beam’, ‘Hollowcore Plank’, ‘Rafter’, ‘Purlin’, ‘Truss Chord’, ‘Truss Strut’, ‘Truss Tie (Brace)’, ‘Undefined Truss Member’ and ‘Column’ had the following IfcElementQuantity properties added to the IFC 2x3 source: ‘NominalLength’, ‘CrossSectionArea’, ‘OuterSurfaceArea’, ‘TotalSurfaceArea’, ‘GrossVolume’, ‘NetVolume’, ‘GrossWeight’ and ‘NetWeight’.

- The objects of ‘Floor Slab’, ‘Landing Slab’, ‘Roof Slab’ and ‘Slab on Ground’ had the following IfcElementQuantity properties added to the IFC 2x3 source: ‘NominalWidth’, ‘Perimeter’, ‘GrossArea’, ‘NetArea’, ‘GrossVolume’, ‘NetVolume’, ‘GrossWeight’ and ‘NetWeight’.

- The objects of ‘Load Bearing Solid Wall’, ‘Load Bearing Stud Wall’, ‘Non-Load Bearing Wall’, ‘Parapet’ and ‘Removable Partition’ had the following IfcElementQuantity properties added to the IFC 2x3 source: ‘NominalLength’, ‘NominalWidth’, ‘NominalHeight’, ‘GrossFootprintArea’, ‘NetFootprintArea’, ‘GrossSideArea’, ‘NetSideArea’, GrossSideAreaLeft’, ‘NetSideAreaLeft’, GrossSideAreaRight’, ‘NetSideAreaRight’, ‘GrossVolume’ and ‘NetVolume’.

- The objects of ‘Barrel Roof’, ‘Butterfly Roof’, ‘Dome Roof’, ‘Flat Roof’, ‘Freeform  Roof’, ‘Gable Roof’, ‘Gambrel Roof’, ‘Gothic Arch Roof’, ‘Hip Roof’, ‘Hipped Gable Roof’, ‘Mansard Roof’, ‘Pavilion Roof’, ‘Single Slope Roof’ and ‘Undefined Roof Form’ had the following IfcElementQuantity property added to the IFC 2x3 source: ‘TotalSurfaceArea’.
